Marc Walter
A Sense of Space

Upper Gallery. Land-art.

Artist talk: June 24-27, noon to 3 pm
Marc will be working in situ with organic materials and welcomes any interested visitors.

Marc Walter is a Franco-Canadian land artist from the Outaouais. He is intrigued by the emotional response of the visitor to the installation he has created. He considers each visitor, however short their stay, to be a temporary inhabitant in the spaces he creates.

The ephemeral aspect of the work relates to the acceptance of the passage of time, not as something elusive, but rather as an opportunity to enjoy the present and develop our capacity to recognize feeling with an acute consciousness.
Marc regularly leads animation and creative workshops.
