June 23 - July 30

Nicolas Grégoire

Vernissage June 30, 6 - 8 pm

The natural process of erosion gives shape to elements in nature. Erosion is needed to maintain balance and is nature’s way of regenerating itself. This fascinating phenomenon also helps us grasp the shortness of our own existence.

Nicolas Grégoire Artists Statement
Artist Statement

I try to give my work a look that resembles eroded elements from Nature without trying to reproduce these elements in a figurative way. I make a conscious effort to see beyond shape and space and concentrate solely on texture and colour.

My works are mounted on rigid panels and coated with a protective varnish so that they can be touched. This allows the audience to enjoy artwork through their tactile perception. My artistic journey is a process of study, observation, exploration and reflection on these materials.
