Come Live, Explore, and Make Art with ArtPontiac Members
A week of sharing and making art
The artists of ArtPontiac (Pontiac Artists’ Association) invite you to spend a week as our guests making art in the beautiful Pontiac countryside. Our region is an hour’s drive north west of Gatineau/Ottawa. It is an area of unparalleled diversity and natural beauty.
ArtPontiac includes artists in all mediums, from beginning and emerging artists to professional artists with decades of experience and international exposure. We have been working together on several initiatives over the years.
For the tenth year, ArtPontiac members will open their doors to visiting artists in order to host a week of making art together and to showcase our stunning region.
How will the week look? July 20-24, 2020
We will gather on Monday morning, July 20. This will give you an opportunity to meet your hosts before heading out to our first activity. Your host will provide you with bed and breakfast, and a picnic lunch for the duration of your week. Dinners will be restaurant or potluck events.
Each day is comprised of group activities, and may include a workshop, sharing of portfolio or technique, or an opportunity to create “en plein air” in one of our picturesque locations. Time is allotted to complete works at the Stone School and to share a meal and social event together.
There will be an Exhibition of work created during the week and a Vernissage which will be hosted on Friday at 4 p.m.
What will we want from you?
A sense of adventure and a willingness to share your knowledge and to try new things! We hope you will return home and share your experiences with your arts group to keep expanding the network of artists.
The week is provided by ArtPontiac for a nominal fee of $250. This includes accommodation, meals, and specialized materials for certain art activities. You will need extra money for any occasions where we eat out.
