2018 Residency week schedule for PAA members

Activities planned for Wednesday and Thursday may be switched, depending on weather.

Please send the sign up sheet if you plan to attend any activities. (please sign up)

Bring your artist’s supplies to any workshop activity. (artists’ supplies)

Monday, July 16
5-8 pm: PAA members are encouraged to join Residency hosts and visiting artists for a potluck dinner and bonfire at Val’s to meet the visitors. (Bring a salad or dessert and your favourite beverage)

Tuesday, July 17
(open to PAA members)

9-9:30: Arrive at the Stone School and get settled
9:30-10: Prepare panels for Wednesday’s Techniques de Fresque workshop
10-12: Alternate methods for framing works on paper (Serge Themens)
12-1: Lunch (bring a contribution, or your own lunch)
1-4: Acrylic Pouring (Cheryl Dolan) material fee, $5.
5-8: Dinner at Carolyn Correia’s. (Bring a salad or dessert and your favourite beverage)

Wednesday, July 18
(open to PAA members) (or Thursday, weather)

9-9:30: Arrive at the Stone School and get settled
9:30-12: Image Transfer Workshop (Carol Howard Donati)
12-1: Lunch (bring a contribution, or your own lunch)
1-4: Techniques de Fresque (Anne Breton)
5:00-8: Dinner at Cafe 349 (About $22). Everyone welcome

Thursday, July 19
(open to PAA members) (or Wednesday)
9:30: Meet at hwy 148 and Wilson Rd, Bryson. Destination: a private beach by the River
10-12: Painting and printmaking plein air workshop “The Nature of the River” with Rob Hinchley. Bring your bathing suits. ($10. fee)
12-1: Lunch (bring a contribution, or your own lunch)
1-4 pm: Plein air continued
4-8: Dinner at Dale’s, Calumet Island. (Bring a salad or dessert and your favourite beverage)

Friday, July 20
(includes PAA members who participated)
10-11: Meet at Art Brûlant and Impressions in Shawville and drop off your artwork for the exhibition.
12-4: Meet at Little Red Wagon Winery
12-1: Lunch (bring a contribution, or your own lunch)
1-4: Haiku, plein air painting or down time, and travel.
4-6: Vernissage: The Nature of the River: an exhibition of works created during the Residency week. (All bring finger food)
