(Dry point, linocut, collagraph, painting, collage)
Amalgam explores the combination of printmaking techniques and monotype with drawing and painting to create abstract prints that reflect summer’s beauty. Amalgam is a summer show and summer is colour and light. In these works I explore the transience, the ever changing light, air, colour, shapes, and atmosphere of summer in terms of my own sensibilities. I have used an amalgam, a combination of mediums, because I enjoy experimenting and mixing things up. Hopefully, through Amalgam the viewer will connect with his or her own feelings about summer.
