Body and Land Intersections – Marlene Schaly, Dayna Schaly

August 7th to September 6th  (Painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media)

The lands we live on and interact with are deeply linked to our sense of identity and origin. These works explore our spiritual connection with the natural world and challenge our capacity as humans to connect to nature when we are growing further apart. This theme is expressed in a variety of mediums by this mother and daughter team.  Some of the art works are collaborative and the different mediums used are drawing, printmaking, watercolour, oil and acrylic painting, fibre art and sculpture. It has been a great pleasure to work together on this show – to encourage, support and learn from each other!
