John Philippe Smith
As Canada’s 6th Dominion Sculptor, Bristol native, John-Philippe Smith, is spearheading the creation of new sculptural works for the Parliamentary Precinct in Ottawa. With the current Centre Block Rehabilitation Project underway, there are unprecedented opportunities to continue to carve Canada’s story into the walls of Parliament.
Laura Murray
Laura J. Murray is Professor of English and Co-Director of the Graduate Program in Cultural Studies at Queen’s University. Her research and teaching extends across the areas of Creative Writing, Treaty History, Oral History, Environmental Humanities, and Media History. She worked for about ten years on copyright and the public good, and is coauthor of Canadian Copyright: A Citizen’s Guide (Between the Lines 2007, 2013) and Putting Intellectual Property in its Place: Rights Discourses, Creative Labor, and the Everyday (Oxford University Press 2014).

 

Colleen Gray
Colleen is a Metis artist of Mi’kmaq/Acadian/Irish descent. She works with watercolour and synthetic paper and is located near Carleton Place, Ontario.

 

Shane Bailey
Shane Lucas Bailey is an Australian-born artist with a diverse skill set, including commercial work for notable clients and a background in art education. His personal art practice explores conceptual themes influenced by his Buddhist beliefs, highlighting rebirth, love, compassion, kindness, emptiness, and mortality.
