FREE: All materials will be provided by artPontiac and MRC Pontiac.
All ages, but children under 8 will need adult supervision.
Three activities are offered and repeated through the day. Each one will last under an hour.

  • Celebrate spring by making a mixed-media floral collage with Lauren Foster
    Participants can add various mixed media to their own piece of art from the materials provided.
    Starting with a 5” x 7” piece of artists’ card stock, there will be acrylic paints and mediums, rubber stamps, fabrics, papers and dried plants to add on.
  • Make a Handmade Book with Valerie Bridgeman Adults and children alike will enjoy creating their own handmade book.Using a variety of materials both traditional and found in popular culture, the participants will assemble pages, add a cover, and sew their single signature pamphlet book together to take home.
  • Paper Chain Dolls​ for illustration with Tina Michaud
    Illustrations in children’s literature using Paper Chain Dolls with Tina Michaud
    Participants will create characters using “cut-out chain dolls” and later will create a short story related to the dolls.
    This will demonstrate the importance of illustrations in children’s literature.
    Pencils and colour markers will be used to create the characters.
