Artist of the Month for April
Robin Knox
Every artist infuses fragments of their life into their work. For Robin Knox, this translates into creativity, compassion, and a deep love for animals, nature, and the peaceful moments that shape everyday life.
Born in Burlington, Ontario, and now based in the Ottawa Valley, Robin is an accomplished painter whose technically accomplished yet emotionally rich work has earned her awards and an early Artist of the Year nomination. Her paintings capture character, atmosphere, and emotion with remarkable sensitivity. Her work is featured at the Deep River Artisans Valley Group gallery and in the Spectrum of Love exhibition at the Art Pontiac Gallery.
Her 47-year career in medical technology reflects the same patience, precision, and attention to detail found in her artistic practice. She also teaches weekly watercolor classes to seniors in Pembroke, generously sharing her knowledge and encouraging everyone to explore their own creativity.
Outside of the studio, Robin draws inspiration from his family life and moments spent with his beloved animals—elements that subtly nourish the warmth and authenticity of his work.
In this interview, we explore Robin’s artistic journey, the influences that nourish his work, and the thoughtful process behind each of his creations.
We are proud to celebrate Robin Knox as Art Pontiac’s Artist of the Month for April .
