The North America Nebula, scientifically cataloged as NGC 7000<\/b>, is a massive emission nebula located approximately 2,590 light-years away<\/b> in the constellation Cygnus. Its most prominent feature is the Cygnus Wall<\/b>, a towering ridge of gas and dust that acts as a dense stellar nursery where massive new stars are actively being forged. The nebula’s remarkable resemblance to the North American continent and its vast scale make it a premier deep-sky target for photographers capturing the rich star fields of the Northern Cross.<\/p>\n

This photo is a stacked combination of exposures taken with a wide-field setup, highlighting the intricate \u00ab\u00a0Gulf of Mexico\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0Florida\u00a0\u00bb regions of the nebula.<\/p>\n
