Fibre art
“Lineations”
When we take the time to look at the world around us, we can find both manmade and nature’s lines: straight, twisted, imperfect, tattered and threadbare. There is beauty in these timeworn and unspoiled lines, and a need today for moments of awe and wonder.
In Lineations, I interpret these artistic lines in my fibre art. Fabrics and alternative fibres are layered, sewn, slashed, and distressed, then rebuilt by shaping, stitching, heat distressing, and embellishing.
In addition to the vernissage, the artist will be present on June 19 and July 3, 2021.
Gallery Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, from 11 am to 4 pm
