Yesterday’s class at the Stone School with Jeanne McTiernan making stained glass ornaments for flower pots or the garden was a lot of fun. Janet Atkinson, Susan Belanger, Shauna McKenna and our wonderful summer student, Perl Drouin, and I spent a challenging but os so satisfying day together. Once you get over the fear of breaking glass deliberately, it was a day of concentration and moments of sheer pleasure when your drop of molten lead arrived in the right place, or you managed to create a perfect beaded tail feather. Good conversation, new friends and, this morning, my very own domestic stained glass bird in my geraniums in the kitchen this morning. I’ve decided it’s a scarlet tanager. Don’t disillusion me.
There are still a few spaces for Jeanne’s next class making a mosaic frame for a mirror or photo on Go the our website and sign up. It’s going to be fascinating and you go home with a treasure.
