Learn a multitude of techniques while creating small unique watercolour sketches. Apply
large washes using special tools to create unique spatial effects that will be a backdrop
for a wide variety of elements in this primarily landscape course. Learn how to build a
palette and discover translucent and opaque colours to build rich and vibrant images. A starter watercolour kit will be provided for a materials fee of $40
If the participant has the following list of materials, purchasing the suggested starter kit is not required.
• 140 lbs rough or smooth watercolour paper pad
• 2H pencil and eraser
• Tracing paper
• 12-15 tubes of Pebeo, Winsor Newton,
• Da Vinci or Van Gogh watercolours
• Palette for blending washes
• Variety of watercolour brushes
• Frisket or masking fluid
• Coarse salt
