Sculpting in the Digital Age: A Workshop on clay 3D Modelling & Printing for Traditional & New Artists

Overview:  This is a hands-on workshop designed to introduce artists to the exciting world of digital sculpting and 3D printing.  The workshop will cover a range of topics, including the use of digital sculpting tools and software, the creation of 3D models, and the printing of physical sculptures using a variety of materials.  Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with different software and tools, explore the potential of digital sculpting, and learn from experienced artists.  The workshop is open to artists of all skill levels, and will provide a supportive and collaborative environment for participants to develop their skills and explore new avenues of creativity.  By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained the skills and knowledge needed to create 3D sculptures using digital tools and bring their ideas to life using 3D printing technology.

Materials to Bring:

  • Mac or PC laptop
  • You can download and install blender.org for free.

NOTE:  Some tablets and laptops may be available – please email artschool@artpontiac.com if you need one – an additional fee may apply to be paid directly to the instructor.

Duration of the course:   1 day, 10 am – 4 pm.
